A Conservation Neighborhood in the Galisteo Basin Preserve
Southern Crescent is located within the spectacular Galisteo Basin Preserve just south of Santa Fe. Twenty-two 3- to 9-acre home sites are poised between thousands of acres of open space and the services and amenities of the proposed Village at the Galisteo Basin Preserve. The neighborhood offers a community orchard and links to the Preserve's planned 12,000 acres of protected open space and trails. Sweeping views of the southern Galisteo Basin's mesas and grasslands and of the forested Ortiz Mountains characterize the beauty of Southern Crescent, while arroyos, native grasses, piñon, and juniper provide abundant plant and wildlife habitat close in. Each home site and building envelope is carefully sited to preserve these visual, natural, and cultural resources—and to ensure they are available for generations to come. As members of this conservation development, Southern Crescent residents share an opportunity to be part of visionary public land preservation and the creation of a dynamic, environmentally responsible master-planned community. |
